ABOUT THE BLACK DIAMOND 2009

I first started experimenting with old leather shaping techniques in 2009. Leather is an exciting material with possibilities to create sharp and exact shapes that look very heavy but are surprisingly light when you wear them. These objects demand their place on the body.

With the right touch, and quite a lot of stubbornness, the leather transforms into the desired shape. I like the fact that this is a very old technique that I can develop it into a contemporary expression.
